The Om Saravanabhava Seva Trust takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of Sadhguru Sri Sharavana Baba - OSST UK:

Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Sadhguru Sri Sharavana Baba - OSST UK is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

1)    What type of information do we collect?


We collect, store, and use the following kinds of personal information.


This includes:

  • Your Name

  • Your Contact Details (including postal address, telephone number, email address, phone number)

  • Your Date of Birth (only applies to membership forms only)

  • The Nakshatras and Names in which you would like to do the 'temple booking' e.g. Archana, Pooja or Abishekam.

  • Name and Contact Details of Parent/Guardian (for Youth Member form only)

  • The method of payment (Credit Card, Debit Card, BACS Direct Debit (UK donors only), Apple Pay, Google Pay and Cash)

  • Your skills and interests (only applies to membership forms)

  • Photo and videos taken at the Sharavana Baba Community Centre (Legion Way, Barnet, London, N12 0QF, UNITED KINGDOM) 

  • Any other personal information you provide to us. 

We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction and methods used to browse away from the page.

 

We process card payments via Stripe, whose privacy policy is linked here https://stripe.com/gb/privacy
We also process donations online via PayPal (if you choose to make your donation via your PayPal account), whose privacy policy is linked here: https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full

We use Donorbox to integrate our secure donation gateway onto our website, which can be found on our 'Donate' page. For more information on how Donorbox's privacy practices and how they handle your data, please visit the following link, https://donorbox.org/privacy. Donorbox does not handle any data used to process donations in our booking service. This is handled by PayPal or Stripe (depending on method of payment), whose respective privacy policies are linked above. We work with a third-party service, 'Order a Print,' to sell printed images available on our Photo Store page. Their privacy policy is linked here: https://www.orderaprint.com/policy

The application forms to become a Seva Member, Youth Member or Life Member are powered by Google Forms. All data provided in those forms are securely stored on our Google Drive. For more information on Google's privacy policies, which covers Google Forms and Google Drive, please visit the following link, https://policies.google.com/privacy The online registration form for the Temple Membership (Navagraha Preethi Pooja) is powered via the Wix platform (for those who donate via cash or standing order) or Donorbox (for those who donate via credit card, debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal or Direct Debit). The online registration for the 'Navagraha Sri Kathirgaama Yogi Yogishwara Yoga Dhandayuthapaani Swami Nithya Aaradhana Deva Sabai' is powered by the Donorbox platform. More information about how Wix keeps your data secure can be found in 'Section 4 - How do we store, use, share and disclose your site visitors' personal information.' 


We do not store the details of the method of payment (e.g. card details, bank account number, sort code etc.). Our payment processing partners, PayPal or Stripe (depending on the method of donation you choose), do store details of the method of payment. Their respective privacy details are linked above. 

2)    How do we collect information?


We collect this information solely via information that you provide to us directly:

  1. You may give us your information to make a 'temple booking', donate (via PayPal or Stripe - depending on method of payment), register as a Youth Member, Seva Member or Life Member, or otherwise contact us.

  2. You may give us your information if you choose to subscribe to our mailing list.

  3. When you use our website, we collect your personal information using “cookies” and other tracking methods. This will be further explained in Section 5 - How do you use cookies and other tracking tools?

  4. Photos and videos taken at the Sharavana Baba Community Centre (Legion Way, Barnet, London, N12 0QF, UNITED KINGDOM) 

Your personal information will be used for the specific reasons stated above only.

3)    Why do we collect such personal information?


We collect such non-personal and personal information for the following purposes:

  1. To provide you with the services, products or information you asked for

  2. To further our charitable activities

  3. To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred non-personal information, which we our our partners may use to provide and improve our respective services.

  4. To comply with any applicable laws and regulations

4) Legal Basis for Processing

Data protection laws mean that each use we make of personal information must have a “legal basis”.  The relevant legal bases are set out in the General Data Protection Regulation (EU Regulation 2016/679) and in current UK data protection legislation.

Specific consent

Consent is where we ask you if we can use your information in a certain way, and you agree to this (for example when we send you marketing material via post, phone, text or e-mail).  Where we use your information for a purpose based on consent, you have the right to withdraw consent for any future use of your information for this purpose at any time. 

Legal obligation

We have a basis to use your personal information where we need to do so to comply with one of our legal or regulatory obligations.  For example, in some cases we may need to share your information with our various regulators such as the Charity Commission, Fundraising Regulator, Information Commissioner, or to use information we collect about you for due diligence or ethical screening purposes.

Performance of a contract / take steps at your request to prepare for entry into a contract

We have a basis to use your personal information where we are entering into a contract with you or performing our obligations under that contract.  Examples of this would be if you are buying something from us (for instance some branded merchandise or an event place) or applying to volunteer with us.

Vital interests

We have a basis to use your personal information where it is necessary for us to protect life or health.   For instance if there were to be an emergency impacting individuals at one of our events, or a safeguarding issue which required us to contact people unexpectedly or share their information with emergency services.

Legitimate interests

We have a basis to use your personal information if it is reasonably necessary for us (or others) to do so and in our/their “legitimate interests” (provided that what the information is used for is fair and does not unduly impact your rights).

5)    How do we store, use, share and disclose your site visitors’ personal information?

We ensure that there are appropriate technical and organisational controls (including physical, electronic and managerial measures) in place to protect your personal details.

Our website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with an online platform that allows us to sell and provide our services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases, and general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by us adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS and managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers. 

6) How long do we keep your information?

We take into account various criteria when determining the appropriate retention period for personal data including: 

  • the purposes for which we process your personal data and how long we need to keep the data to achieve these purposes;

  • how long personal data is likely to remain accurate and up-to-date;

  • for how long the personal data might be relevant to possible future legal claims;

  • any applicable legal, accounting, reporting or regulatory requirements which specify how long certain records must be kept.

Right to access your personal information

You have a right to request access to the personal data that we hold about you. You also have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you, and we will provide you with this unless legal exceptions apply.

You have a right to ask us to restrict the processing of some or all of your personal information in the following situations:  if some information we hold on you isn’t right; we’re not lawfully allowed to use it; you need us to retain your information in order for you to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim; or you believe your privacy rights outweigh our legitimate interests to use your information for a particular purpose and you have objected to us doing so.

Right to erasure of your personal information

You may ask us to delete some or all of your personal information and in certain cases, and subject to certain exceptions, you have the right for this to be done. If we are unable to delete your information, we will explain why this is the case.
